The new SEAM organization brings together Safety, Environment, and Asset Management functions into a single, integrated structure with a broad global footprint that supports Shell’s businesses and assets worldwide.

- Providing performance insights that enable disciplined execution and help deliver reliable, predictable results.
- Supporting business improvement by helping teams develop robust improvement plans and providing the expertise needed to execute them effectively.
- Sustaining performance through strong core capabilities—both internal (including SBO) and contingent—by building expertise and ensuring a consistent, company‑wide approach.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and support CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) build and assurance activities for designated projects across Upstream, Downstream, and IG, ensuring delivery of first‑time‑right data from project execution into operations and maintenance.
- Ensure high‑quality asset data is delivered to the business to enable a smooth transition from project phase to run‑and‑maintain activities, working closely with other TAO teams to align standards and expectations.
- Develop and execute CMMS build strategies and plans in collaboration with business stakeholders and project managers, including data quality and assurance activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Analyze technical data, engineering documentation, and maintenance processes by engaging with engineering, operations, maintenance teams, and external project partners.
- Drive continuous improvement of CMMS build processes, tools, and team objectives by identifying efficiencies and enhancing standard practices.
- Partner with Project Managers and key stakeholders to identify and deliver value opportunities within CMMS implementations.
- Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on CMMS build deliverables, including Safety Critical Elements, maintenance strategies, maintenance plans, and compliance with relevant group standards.
- Support the development of project dashboards and manage the resolution of any P2A CMMS project delivery issues.
- Provide expertise in interpreting asset information from engineering drawings and documents, such as P&IDs and single-line diagrams.
- Coordinate with the Contracts & Procurement (CP) Data organization to develop Bill of Materials (BOM) and Material Master data requirements.
- Build strong networks across project teams and the wider organizational levels within the capital project space.
- Understand how technical data and information will be used at the operating site to ensure data integrity and practical applicability.
- Work with managers and project specialists to standardize CMMS build processes, procedures, tools, and methodologies across projects.
- Capture lessons learned and best practices from project execution and maintain updates in the learnings database.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication, Electrical, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
- Preferably brings operational engineering or technical experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Plant Maintenance within Manufacturing or Upstream operations, with hands‑on use of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems), wIMS (Web Integrity Management System), and EDMS (Engineering Document Management Systems).
- Engineering‑related maintenance activities, including equipment failure analysis, troubleshooting, decision‑making, Reliability‑Centered Maintenance (RCM), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Safety Criticality and Risk Assessment, FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, Total Quality Management, Hazard Analysis, and related methodologies.
- Technical data and document management for engineering projects, including processes, workflows, and digital tools.
- Front‑end project execution, supporting EPCM contractors with data delivery, quality checks, and validation of project technical data.
- Experience in initiating, planning, monitoring, and controlling CMMS build activities.
- Working knowledge of SAP PM / MM modules.
- Strong understanding of how technical data and documentation are used across technical data processes and physical assets (e.g., catalytic crackers, drilling operations, production facilities, lube oil plants). Professional engineering certification is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and strong stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to manage complex and detailed information, prioritize effectively, and ensure timely delivery of assigned responsibilities.
- Demonstrated leadership in guiding associate engineering analysts through technical data projects.
- Adaptable, proactive, and capable of analytical problem‑solving, with a track record of resolving issues and driving improvements.
- Experience with Lean Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement methodologies; Oil & Gas industry experience is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in SAP PM (Master Data and Transactional Data).
- Plant maintenance background, ideally in Oil & Gas, Heavy Engineering, or Power Generation.
- Proficient in MS Office applications including Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and MS Project.
- Familiarity with maintenance management systems and connected applications such as AIM‑EDMS, IDMS, SPI‑Intools is preferred.
