Job Description

DUTIES:                               Provide technical leadership to a team responsible for defining solutions, developing, testing, and maintaining BSS and OSS systems; perform software solutions design and development within cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and Cloud Foundry; design and develop software using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservice technologies including  GitHub Co-Pilot, IntelliJ, Gradle, 12 factors principles and JFrog; design solutions using databases including Oracle and MySQL, and messaging tools and frameworks including Kafka, ActiveMQ, and RabbitMQ; deploy processes using EagleEye; ensure API security, access management, encryption, and cryptography; perform log and data management; work with multi-datacenter distributions, gateways, and containerization; create visualization, alerting, detect anomalies, and perform AI/ML operations using ELK stack; develop CI/CD pipelines using Concourse, Jenkins, and Spinnaker; upgrade MySQL versions; use observability frameworks including AppDynamics and Mantis; use code scanning tools including SonarQube, Checkmarx, WhiteSource, and Synk; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements; and guide and mentor junior-level engineers. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.

REQUIREMENTS:             Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience performing software solutions design and development within cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and Cloud Foundry; designing and developing software using Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and microservice technologies including GitHub Co-Pilot, IntelliJ, Gradle, 12 factors principles, and JFrog; designing solutions using databases including Oracle and MySQL, and messaging tools and frameworks including Kafka, ActiveMQ, and RabbitMQ; deploying processes using EagleEye; ensuring API security, access management, encryption, and cryptography; performing log and data management; working with multi-datacenter distributions, gateways, and containerization; creating visualization, alerting, detecting anomalies, and performing AI/ML operations using ELK stack; developing CI/CD pipelines using Concourse, Jenkins, and Spinnaker; of which three (3) years include upgrading MySQL versions; using observability frameworks including AppDynamics and Mantis; and using code scanning tools including SonarQube, Checkmarx, WhiteSource, and Synk.
