Engagement Manager – Healthcare (Senior Commercial Role)

IQVIA Italia is seeking a senior commercial professional to join as Engagement Manager – Healthcare, with a strong focus on the Italian public healthcare market. This role is pivotal in activating and implementing framework agreements and tenders (including Consip) at hospital, regional and national level, by building effective partnerships across the healthcare digital ecosystem.
The Engagement Manager will act as a strategic connector between RTI Commercial leaders, IQVIA internal teams, and healthcare institutions, leveraging established relationships on both the supply and demand sides to ensure successful engagement, adoption, and collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Engagement & Ecosystem Leadership
· Lead commercial engagement initiatives with public and private healthcare providers, with a focus on hospitals and regional digital healthcare systems.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital buyers, CIOs / Directors of Information Systems, procurement offices, and regional healthcare officials.
· Act as a trusted commercial counterpart to RTI Commercial Directors, ensuring alignment, coordination, and effective partnership execution.
Framework Agreements & Tenders Activation
· Drive activation and implementation of framework agreements and healthcare tenders, with specific expertise with Consip and similar public procurement mechanisms.
· Engage provider organizations to support the practical execution of awarded agreements at hospital and regional level.
· Ensure adherence to governance models, procurement rules, and RTI coordination requirements.
Market & Stakeholder Development
· Leverage an existing commercial and relational network across the Italian healthcare market to facilitate access, dialogue, and collaboration.
· Develop a deep understanding of provider needs and decision-making processes to position IQVIA as a long-term strategic partner.
· Identify opportunities to expand collaboration and strengthen IQVIA’s visibility and credibility within the healthcare ecosystem.
Internal & Partner Coordination
· Collaborate closely with internal commercial, account management, solution, and delivery teams to ensure consistent messaging and coordinated execution.
· Act as a central point of contact between IQVIA and RTI partners, aligning objectives and supporting joint go-to-market initiatives.
· Provide structured feedback from the field to inform strategy, engagement models, and partnership evolution.
Required Experience & Qualifications
· Senior commercial experience within the Italian digital healthcare ecosystem, preferably in Pharma, Digital Health, MedTech, healthcare consulting, or system integration.
· Proven hands-on experience with public healthcare tenders and framework agreements, including Consip.
· Established relationships with:
o Hospital buyers and procurement functions
o Directors of Information Systems (CIO / IT Directors)
o Commercial Directors and leaders on the offer side within RTI or partner organizations
· Strong understanding of Italian public healthcare procurement processes and governance.
· Excellent negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
· Ability to operate autonomously in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
· Fluency in Italian and English is mandatory.
· Availability for frequent in-person meetings across Italy.
