What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:
1. Engineering & Technical Operations
Lead site engineering activities including utilities, facilities, maintenance, and equipment reliability.
Ensure availability and performance of critical systems (HVAC, power, water, compressed air, networks where applicable).
Act as the primary technical escalation point for complex engineering issues.
Own and deliver capital investment projects (CAPEX) from concept to commissioning.
Manage contractors, vendors, and service providers on‑site.
Ensure engineering changes follow approved change control and validation processes.
Ensure engineering systems comply with local regulations, corporate standards, and internal quality requirements.
Support audits, inspections, and regulatory interactions related to engineering and facilities.
Maintain validated state of equipment and systems where required.
Support business continuity planning and site resilience activities.
Identify technical risks and implement mitigation plans for critical infrastructure.
Ensure engineering readiness for emergency response and crisis situations.
Lead, coach, and develop the site engineering team.
Set objectives, manage performance, and build technical capability.
Foster a strong EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) culture within the engineering function.
Manage engineering budgets (OPEX & CAPEX).
Drive cost optimization without compromising safety or compliance.
Track KPIs related to uptime, reliability, and project delivery.
Drive reliability engineering, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support digitalization and modernization of site engineering systems where applicable.
Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
BA/BS with at least 6 years of experience or MBA/MS with at least 5 years of experience or PhD/JD with at least 1 year of experience or MD/DVM with any years of experience
Strong background in supervision or management roles within the pharmaceutical industry
Proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma tools
Robust people management skills
Proactive approach in engaging with key stakeholders
Experience in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements):
Advanced degree (Master's, PhD, JD, MD, DVM) in a relevant field
Experience in talent management and development
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to drive innovation and manage change
Experience in budget planning and financial management
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory compliance
Ability to manage Pfizer direct reports effectively
Strong leadership and team-building skills
Experience in strategic planning and execution
Experience using common AI tools, including generative technologies such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, to support problem solving and enhance productivity. Demonstrated curiosity for exploring how these tools can improve outcomes and understanding of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
