Description:
As an EMT-B/ED Tech at MercyOne, you will provide prompt and effective emergency medical care to patients of all ages in emergency and non-emergency situations who require stabilization and/or resuscitation as a result of illness or injury in the field.
Essential Functions:
- Provides prompt and effective emergency medical care to patients of all ages in emergency and non-emergency situations who require stabilization and/or resuscitation as a result of illness or injury in the field.
- Provides care as set forth by the system protocols. Included in this is accurate documentation of the care provided.
- In scene management, will follow management structure as set forth by the Federal NIMS standards.
- Responsible for decontamination, cleaning, and restocking of any equipment that has been utilized within the ambulance. In addition, functions as an Emergency Department Technician when not serving in the EMT-Basic role in the field.
General Requirements:
- Licensure/Registration: EMT-B Illinois license, Valid Driver's license
- Training Preferred: NIMS National Incident Management System 100
- Special Training: Basic Life Support
- No experience required.
Education:
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Field Of Study: Emergency Medical Services
