The listed pay range or pay rate reflects compensation for a full-time equivalent (1.0 FTE) position. Actual compensation may differ depending on assigned hours and position status (e.g., part-time).
Pay Range:
$18.21 - $22.74Position Overview
Maintains the financial integrity of all of the front-end registration and insurance verification functions while upholding the utmost in customer satisfaction and quality patient care. Applies all financial screening guidelines to ensure the most collectible income. Maintains up-to-date knowledge and adheres to all payors and regulatory guidelines for medical insurance claims for processing and reimbursement. Works in collaboration with the revenue cycle team and patient care areas to uphold the proper philosophies of patient care and maximum reimbursement.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalency.
Experience:
One year experience in a healthcare setting or one year customer service experience with medical terminology and basic computer skills required.
Other Credentials:
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong organizational and follow-up skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team environment. Familiarity with insurance language and basic understanding of coding preferred.
Special Training:
Proficient computer skills. Understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding classifications. Basic knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Mental, Behavioral and Emotional Abilities:
Ability to handle a stressful environment.
