SUMMARY
Primary responsibilities for the Senior EMR Analyst position include design, build, testing, validation and ongoing support of EMR applications. The team member must possess in-depth knowledge of software functionality and must be able to quickly gain knowledge of operational workflows. Will remain abreast of new developments in assigned application. In collaboration with EMR team members and operational leaders, the Senior Analyst will stabilize and optimize EMR and will work with cross-application workgroups to accomplish project goals.

Key Responsibilities:
Effectively communicates to end users and leadership regarding build changes and project plans.
Assists end-users on proper use of the application.
Implements approved changes based on customer-designated priorities.
Effectively manages division of time between incidents, work orders, projects, RFCs and Epic application requirements (nova notes, reportable issues, etc.)
Manages assigned RFCs with minimal assistance and is able to follow defined processes and deadlines.
Able to execute unit and system test cases and document testing results.
Validates build or resolution of issue with end users prior to closing request.
Follows established guidelines for system change control.
Reviews and tests new build and releases prior to implementing in the production environment.
Transfers incidents to other teams after speaking with a member of the other team.
Attends meetings and shows up prepared and on time or declines meeting when cannot attend so meeting leader is notified.
Appropriately maintains voicemail & outlook calendar
Is available and approachable to peers for assistance.
Completes Project Dash accurately, timely and consistently including updates to change requests in Dash (or follows the relevant process for your team).
Documents progress on incidents in Remedy consistently updating task status (status in dash or Remedy tickets) or other reporting processes.
Performs other support and application development tasks as requested by their leader.
Is able to troubleshoot, update and resolve incidents.
Participates in application design, build, validation, and advanced design sessions within assigned areas and document decisions on build worksheets using departmental standard formats.
Understands workflows of operational areas supported.
Gathers requirements from operations with signoff/email confirmation before development begins (in most cases).
Validates build with operations when development is complete or at key milestones during development.
Includes operational end users when performing final testing.
Provides training and demonstrations, as required.
Proactively suggests changes to the system for operational consideration.
Designs and implements future-state operational workflows by interacting with operational department representatives to analyze needs and translate these into system design.
Completes change requests by due date. Consistently meeting deadlines independently.
Low error rate: Implemented projects do not require follow-up or emergent changes.
Successfully implements project/changes with minimal unexpected or adverse operational impact.
Advocates for proper testing and release management processes and procedures.
Works with QA to write consistent and detailed documentation of test plan, test cases, and testing results in tracking software
Address/resolve defects or other issues experienced during the validation; re-test/validate and documents resolutions to ensure changes are achieving the expected outcomes.
Works with training to coordinate communication and documentation for end users. Knows when to submit educational material to Strides without being prompted.
Brings possible solutions to the table when reporting problems/issues.
Troubleshoots and assists with issues both within assigned team and with other teams.
Ability to develop an appropriate solution for customer requests, present solutions to customer and/or leader, and develop options.
Work cooperatively and effectively with operational leadership to develop and test future-state workflows
Identifies potential system enhancement needs.
Provides demonstrations of system functionality as necessary.
Collaborate with project managers/peers in estimating, planning and tracking of assignments. Anticipate and communicate dependencies and delays to project team/management.
Remain abreast of new developments in the area of systems design and analysis by participating in continuing education programs/conferences (as requested by leadership), reviewing pertinent literature and periodicals.
Enhance technical skills through self-study, formal training, and task assignments.
Able to identify and escalate cross application issues/impacts
Provides proactive updates regarding projects and tasks to leader
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates Degree, preferred
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Understanding/knowledge of clinical/peripheral healthcare functions and work processes
Understanding of technology related to functional processes/workflow
Strong analytical, computer, and communication skills
Required Licensure/Certification Skills
EMR Certification (to be obtained within 6 month after hire, if required for job function)

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
