Our client is seeking an experienced Harassment & Discrimination Investigator to lead prompt, objective, and confidential workplace investigations involving allegations of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, and other policy violations. This is a full-time (up to 40 hours per week), hybrid role based in Chicago, with on-site work at the Willis Tower office Tuesdays through Thursdays. The role includes conducting interviews, gathering and analyzing evidence, and preparing clear investigative reports for HR, Legal, Labor Relations, and senior leadership, supporting investigations on a global scale. Ideal candidates will have 3–5+ years of corporate investigation experience, a working knowledge of federal and state employment laws, and strong judgment, communication, and organizational skills. Target compensation is $90,000–$100,000, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve and review cases from the ER intake queue and determine appropriate routing
  • Make high-volume, high-judgment triage decisions, reviewing and assigning approximately 100 cases per day
  • Support the central intake process and related workflows, including Employee Experience (EE) case management and email-to-case routing
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency in data entry and case tracking across HRSC and other internal systems
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure cases are properly categorized, resolved, and documented in accordance with internal protocols
  • Adapt quickly to changing priorities and contribute to ongoing process improvements across the ER organization

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in HR operations, employee relations, or case management within a large, complex organization
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and HR case management systems
  • Exceptional attention to detail, critical-thinking skills, and sound judgment in decision-making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Experience working with HR case management systems
  • Demonstrated success working with large data sets or in roles requiring rapid information processing
  • Strong typing speed (high WPM) and comfort navigating multiple systems simultaneously
  • Prior experience in staffing, employee relations, or HR analytics 

Compensation, Benefits & Location: 

  • This role offers competitive annual compensation in the range of $90,000–$100,000
