The Employee Health Services (EHS) Technician is responsible for performing direct and indirect screening and care services for all new candidates, employees, and Saint Luke’s Health System healthcare personnel affiliates (i.e. non-employed individuals) as delegated by the Registered Nurse. The EHS Technician functions under the direction and supervisor of the Registered Nurse. The primary responsibilities include but may not be limited to respirator training and fit-testing, phlebotomy, immunization administration, and appropriate documentation into the appropriate computer application(s) and/or documentation retention mechanisms. Ensures the integrity and confidentiality of employee health records. Acts as a resource to employees and other departments on a variety of employee health issues. Functions autonomously, consistently and successfully without consistent onsite supervision. Six months of experience with a nursing assistant certification, EMT certification, phlebotomy training completion, and/or immunization administration is preferred.
