Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a talented Employee Health Nurse to join our team in Palmdale, CA team. This position can either be filled at a Level 3 or Level 4, depending on qualifications and is for a 2nd shift 5/8 hour.

Provides nursing services to employees or persons who become ill or suffer an accident. Administers first aid; operates dispensary; attends subsequent dressings of injuries; maintains records of persons treated; prepares accident reports; provides health education information; dispenses standard drugs and medicines such as aspirin and cough or cold tablets; refers contagious diseases or serious injuries to company or employees physician; and may assist doctors in examining patients. Requires nursing curriculum and registration by a state board of nursing.

Basic Qualifications Level 3:

  • Associates degree in Nursing

  • 4 or more years of experience as an RN

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and internet navigation

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Ability to work independently or with a team on special projects

  • Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to maintain confidential documents and information

  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines

  • Ability to function within all levels of organization and at various locations

  • CPR/BLS certification

  • Active CA RN license

  • 6 or more years of experience as an RN

  • CPR/BLS certification

  • Active CA RN license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing

  • 2+ years in occupational health

  • Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC)

  • Spirometry (NIOSH approved course optimal)

  • Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN)

Primary Level Salary Range: $88,300.00 - $147,100.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $110,200.00 - $183,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
