We are seeking a talented individual to join our Placement team at Marsh. This role will be based in Jakarta - Indonesia. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
In this role, you will be primarily responsible for the placement of employee benefits, which includes negotiating insurance quotations, pricing, terms and conditions, and the services they offer.
You will also handle any projects assigned by the team leader. Projects will primarily focus on employee benefits, there may be instances where projects relate to products or employee benefit technology, such as business process improvements or new systems. You may be assigned as the point of contact for these projects.
We will count on you to:
Collaborate with business development and account managers and clients to understand their insurance needs and risk profiles.
Conduct market research to identify potential insurers and coverage options that align with client needs.
Prepare and present the Request for Proposal (RFP) template to insurance providers.
Negotiate terms and conditions with insurers to secure optimal coverage for clients.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers.
Monitor market trends and changes to provide insight and advice to account managers.
Assist in reviewing the insurance handbook and insurance policy documents for clients.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Provide insurance proposal comparisons to the account manager according to the agreed timeline.
Prepare and share placement documents with insurance providers.
Collaborate with the operations team and account manager to ensure that the benefits and terms and conditions negotiated with insurers align with client requests and agreements.
Participate in and achieve insurance broker certification.
Be responsible for any projects in the MMB department assigned by the MMB Placement Leader.
What you need to have:
Minimum bachelor’s degree from any major.
Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in employee health benefit insurance products (health and life products)
A candidate with economic, accountancy, actuary/underwriting or insurance major will be an advantage.

Insurance broker certification (APARI) is not mandatory, but candidates must agree to obtain this certification after joining.
