The Baker Hughes Internship is designed to enable students either pursuing a Bachelors’ or Masters’ degree or recently graduated to gain hands-on work experience as the foundation of their professional lives. As an Intern, you will be responsible for: 

  • Supporting the Customer Application Engineering team with a strong focus on data analysis, rather than traditional engineering activities.

  • Comparing, validating, and reconciling datasets and tables from multiple sources.

  • Performing cost analysis and pricing analysis to support internal decision‑making and commercial strategies.

  • Creating, cleaning, and structuring data, including the use of AI‑based tools to improve efficiency and insight generation.

  • Developing and maintaining reports, dashboards, and KPIs for internal stakeholders.

  • Transforming large datasets into meaningful insights for Project Managers and cross‑functional teams.

  • Collaborating in a cross‑functional environment, working closely with Pricing, Sourcing, and other operational teams.

  • Contributing to cost optimization, pricing strategies, and operational decision‑making through data‑driven analysis.

 

Fuel your passion 

To be successful in this role you will: 

  • Be currently enrolled or recently graduated in a Bachelors’ or Masters’ level degree in Mechanical, Management, other Engineering disciplines, or similar technical/analytical fields .

  • Have maintained a GPA grade greater than or equal to 3.0 out of 4.0 or the equivalent in your country 

  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and data quality mindset.

  • Good knowledge of data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, or similar).

  • Motivation to learn and work with large datasets.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with different internal stakeholders

  • Be fluent in oral and written English and Italian and have effective communication skills 

  • Be able to legally work in the country that you are applying in, without company sponsorship or time restriction
