Job Summary: This position is part of the Office of Management, Department of Energy. As an Emergency Management Specialist, you will independently plan and manage the program, which includes developing and implementing Occupant Emergency Plans, leading training and exercises, and coordinating response activities. You will serve as the Continuity of Operation (COOP)/Continuity of Government (COG) for the Office of Management at the Department of Energy Headquarters.

Qualifications: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL the following: Developing, implementing, and evaluating all-hazards emergency management, crisis management, or continuity of operations (COOP) plans. Leading working groups or planning teams to prepare for and executive complex exercises or respond to real-world incidents. Analyzing complex operational challenges to produce after-action reports or improvement plans. Providing oral and written briefings to senior leadership or key stakeholders on program status or operational readiness. Education cannot be substituted for specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level. Limit your resume to no more than two (2) pages.
