The Emergency Department Nurse Manager provides leadership in the provision of nursing services and triaging patient care. The Emergency Department Nurse Manager has twenty-four-hour responsibility/accountability as the liaison between the nursing staff supporting high-volume, acutely injured or ill patient population and the Director of Emergency Services.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree in nursing and a minimum of 6 years Emergency Department clinical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must have training in Performance Improvement, total Quality Management, and/or Continuous Quality Improvement.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Master's degree in nursing
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:
Current license to practice Nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
ACLS, BLS & PALS certification required
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS PREFERRED:
CEN strongly preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSAs):
Ability to effectively manage expense budget as allocated.
Ability to make formal presentations relative to clinical, operational, educational research and financial issues.
Ability to problem-solve and work collaboratively towards defined patient care outcomes.
Must have knowledge of Emergency Nursing.
Compensation Range:
$113,500.00- $164,500.00This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer. This includes education, experience, skills, and certifications/licensures as they directly relate to position requirements; as well as business/organizational needs, internal equity, and market-competitiveness.
