US GAAP Month-End, Quarter-End, and Year-End Close: Prepare key accounting processes including accruals, payroll accounting, prepayments, tax provisions, and R&D tax credit entries. Review trial balances and prepare account reconciliations in compliance with US GAAP.
Statutory Reporting: Support the preparation and submission of statutory financial statements and other local GAAP filings, collaborating closely with the EMEA Accounting Manager and external auditors.
Payroll Accounting: Prepare and process monthly payroll by compiling and submitting data to the payroll provider, reviewing outputs for accuracy, and posting all related accounting entries in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
Corporate Income Tax Accounting: Prepare quarterly tax provisions and tax reporting packages for submission to the Corporate Tax team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal and external requirements.
R&D Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of R&D tax returns, partnering with the R&D function and external tax advisors to ensure accurate documentation and reporting.
Audit Support: Coordinate with internal, external, and special audit teams, providing documentation, analyses, and audit samples with a focus on statutory audit requirements.
Pension Accounting: Prepare pension accounting entries, reports, and documentation for actuarial valuations; reconcile accounting records against actuarial reports.
Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities to enhance reporting quality, streamline statutory and tax accounting processes, and strengthen internal controls.
Pre-Requisites / Skills / Experience Requirements:
Degree in accounting or finance, and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or a Chartered Accountant (CA).
5+ years of experience working in Finance and Accounting, with solid experience and knowledge about Statutory accounting for UK and Ireland.
Experience in preparation and submission for R&D tax credit claim.
Experience in Corporate Income Tax Accounting.
Exposure to SOX/Internal controls and supporting audits and statutory fillings, with strong documentation and compliance focus.
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proven ability in working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
Strong IT skills – (i.e., ORACLE, Excel, PowerPoint, Essbase, OBIEE).
