The Role

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining software solutions while managing and optimizing the ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, and Logstash) for data ingestion, visualization, and monitoring. You will work closely with development and operations teams to ensure system reliability, scalability, and performance.
Hybrid work model: 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.
This role requires participation in 24x7 on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the ELK Stack components: Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, and Logstash.
  • Design and implement data pipelines for log collection, processing, and visualization.
  • Optimize Elasticsearch clusters for performance, scalability, and high availability.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations in Kibana for monitoring and analytics.
  • Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to integrate logging and monitoring solutions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data ingestion, indexing, and visualization.
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and best practices.
  • Contribute to automation and continuous improvement initiatives.


Who You Are

Technical and Professional Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5 years in software engineering or systems administration.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Kibana, Beats, Logstash)
    • Linux environments and shell scripting
  • Preferred:
    • Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
    • Knowledge of security best practices for data and systems
  • Skills in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  • Interest in learning about:
    • Observability and monitoring frameworks
    • Automation tools (Ansible, Terraform)

Languages Required

  • Spanish
  • Intermediate English
  • Catalan

Education

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Preferred: Certifications in Elasticsearch or cloud technologies.
