Electronics Test Technician

What You Will Do:

  • Perform operational support for Variable Speed Drives (VSD) and other equipment and system products such as wiring, cabling, and other complex equipment in the shop environment

  • Perform preventative maintenance, routine and emergency repair, and calibration on components of the VSD units

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience in electronics assembly.

  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics.

  • Proficient with MS Office

  • Basic knowledge of electronics, industrial safety, electrical hazards and proper use of hand tools

  • Basic math and problem solving skills

  • Read, write, and speak English fluently

  • Immigration sponsorship not offered for this role

  • Must be willing to work overtime and Saturdays as required

  • Work hours are generally 6:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday-Friday (with overtime as needed).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with VSDs, switchboards, transformers, serial and TCP communications or other electrical equipment

  • Role is deemed safety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing

  • Medium work:  Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

  • May stand, walk, stoop, sit, bend, twist, grasp, lift, climb, 

  • Requires visual and hearing acuity

  • Work primarily occurs in a heated and air-conditioned manufacturing environment

  • Hazards include proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current or exposure to chemicals

  • Atmospheric conditions that affect the respiratory system or skin may include fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation

  • Potential skin exposure to oils and other cutting fluids

  • Must be willing to work overtime and Saturdays as required
