Job Summary: You will serve as an ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the AEGIS TECHNICAL REPRESENTATIVE of AEGIS TECHREP.

Major Duties:

  • You will serve as the subject matter expert for software quality regarding defect analysis and tracking within the AEGIS Weapon System and related computer programs.
  • You will utilize established methodologies to identify, document, and monitor defects throughout the software development lifecycle to improve software quality and reliability.
  • You will provide technical assistance to all organizations involved in developing AEGIS Weapon System.
  • You will serve as a consultant and advisor for the organization in applying concepts, principles, and processes for life cycle technical knowledge of various systems, subsystems, equipment, and procedures for all assigned areas of responsibility.
  • You will trouble-shoot, analyze and determine operating problems, and recommend appropriate changes to correct deficiencies and subsequently define and negotiate analysis results with opposing engineers and managers.
  • You will plan, coordinate, and conduct various development programs/projects that involve continuous systems modification, systems requirement evaluation, and systems performance analysis.
  • You will provide technical and operational guidance to organizational leaders and support project/program and execution elements.
  • You will advise other organizational staff members about state-of-the-art equipment for incorporation into existing systems and equipment.
  • You will analyze and determine operating problems and recommend changes to correct deficiencies.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the pay band NJ-03 (GS-11 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing operation and system processes to provide technical assistance for combat and weapon systems.
