Job Summary: You will serve as an ELECTRONICS TECHNICIAN in the Information Technology & Cyber Security Department (Code 109) in the of PSNS and IMF.

Major Duties:

  • You will keep abreast of new technologies, practices, and processes ensuring they are in concert with Federal, DOD, DON, NAVSEA, and PSNS and IMF goals.
  • You will assist with providing electronics technician work related to systems security.
  • You will participate in and perform various developmental-level electronics technician duties involving installation maintenance, repair and proving work status for all applicable areas of CCTV and other video monitoring equipment.
  • You will be responsible for the analysis, testing, operations, and development of new technologies integration and maintenance of systems security too ensure a safe and secure work environment throughout the command.
  • You will independently plan for installation and testing of security systems along interpreting policies and guidelines.
  • You will assist with/participate in the practices of schematic diagrams, drawing, and sketches; a variety of test equipment; fundamental electronics technician methods, and proper conduit bending and wiring techniques for electrical or installation.

Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Interpreting and implementing electronic techniques and methodologies to identify shortfalls in design, installation, maintenance or repairs for development of recommendations supporting the optimization of vessel electronic system test and evaluation.
