Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as an Electronics Technician 4 based out of Charlottesville, VA.
What You'll Get To Do:
Perform routine technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment.
Applications may include analog, digital and/or video type circuits and logic systems.
Work from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and simple developmental engineering tasks.
Perform routine operational tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications.
Diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to component level.
Conduct defined engineering tests and collect data as assigned.
Utilize electrical/electronic test equipment (multi-meter, oscilloscope, megger)
Soldering and micro-soldering
Electrical component modification
Troubleshooting and repair
Fiber-optic fabrication
Basic Qualifications for an Electronics Technician 4:
High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of related experience in electronics, assembly, or manufacturing/production
Electronics training equivalent to 2 years technical trade school or military technical school
Preferred Qualifications:
Wiring/Harness assembly specialization
Experience with maintaining, modifying, and operating equipment in a marine environment
IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, and/or J-STD-001 certifications

Primary Level Salary Range: $68,300.00 - $113,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
