Job Purpose:
The Repair Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electronic equipment across various product groups. Using technical expertise and appropriate tools, the technician identifies and resolves issues to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of electronic devices.
The role also includes rework, dismantling, incoming material inspection, and accurate data collection related to repair activities.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect and approve incoming materials by confirming specifications and performing visual and functional tests
Inspect and test electronic devices and equipment to identify defects or malfunctions
Diagnose technical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions
Repair or replace defective electronic components, subassemblies, or device parts
Perform routine and preventive maintenance to reduce the risk of equipment failure
Maintain accurate documentation of all repair and maintenance activities
Collaborate with other technicians and internal teams to ensure optimal equipment performance
Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and health & safety regulations
Stay up to date with technological developments and industry advancements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Technical secondary education or higher education in electronics, automation, or a related field
Experience in a similar role, such as manufacturing, service, maintenance, or repair
Soldering skills
Strong analytical skills and problem‑solving ability
Solid technical knowledge of electronics, devices, and electronic systems
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, manuals, and schematics
Familiarity with hand tools and power tools
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team
Knowledge of the 5S methodology is a plus
Knowledge of English is considered an advantage
