Major Duties:

  • You will serve as an Electronics Engineer in the Range Department, of the Pacific Missile Range Facility.
  • You will prepare project plans, studies, schedule, and detailed phases of technical work.
  • You will plan and conduct engineering design, installation, repairs, modifications, operation, and maintenance for Navy and DoD activities.
  • You will collect and analyze data and recommend significant improvements to the design and provide resolutions to problems.
  • You will prepare data packages and design documentation for new or improved documentation instructions and guidelines.
  • You will attend meetings on behalf of the Radar, Under Water Tracking Systems, Telemetry, LATR, and ITCS Systems Managers of the Data and Measurements Branch Head.

Qualifications: GS-09: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying engineering concepts or principles including, but not limited to, system design/development, review of engineering/technical documentation/drawings/manuals, or solving problems. GS-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying basic engineering concepts or principles including, but not limited to, system design/development or review of engineering/technical documentation/drawings/manuals.
