Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a second shift Microelectronics Test Technician 2 based out of Rolling Meadows, IL.
What you'll get to do:
Test, troubleshoot, and repair microelectronics hardware at component level
Following written test procedures, electronic work instructions (eWIs) and provide feedback to engineering as needed for process improvements.
Operate test equipment, environmental chambers, multimeters, oscilloscopes, network/signal analyzers, signal generators, power supplies, torque wrenches, etc.
Read and interpret schematics, engineering drawings, technical publications, maintenance manuals, and written instructions to troubleshoot, repair, and assemble modules, subassemblies, and systems.
Conduct tests and report data in the prescribed format, using predetermined methods, sequences, and setups to inspect or test specific equipment or products.
Follow all program and site security requirements.
Pay attention to detail with a focus on quality output, work in a team environment where daily communication and interaction are required.
Work in a production and repair environment with production goals and deadlines
Perform work responsibilities with limited supervision.
Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that includes extended shifts, may include holidays, and weekends as required.
This is a 2nd shift position.
Basic Qualifications for Microelectronics Test Technician 2:
High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 2 years of relevant, industry-related work experience.
Experience in testing and troubleshooting RF electronics
Experience with reading and interpreting schematics and drawings
MS Office experience.
Ability and willingness to work second shift.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
US Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications Microelectronics Test Technician 2:
Associate of Science or technical degree in electronics technology
Military experience and education working with electronic equipment and systems
Experience with RF electronics, including tuning, testing, and/or troubleshooting RF filters and amplifiers
Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Experience using SAP Enterprise Resource Planning system to document testing performed, enter test results, & create Quality Notifications
Experience with continuous improvement and process improvement principles
Active Secret clearance.
Experience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage) control.
Experience with CUI (controlled unclassified information) and COMSEC (communications security).

Primary Level Salary Range: $53,500.00 - $89,100.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
