Job Summary: You will serve as a ELECTRONIC INDUSTRIAL CONTROLS MECHANIC LEADER (EXPERT) in the Productions Resources Department (900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Ability to apply Expert knowledge and practice of hazardous energy control procedures. Ability to apply Expertise and skill in applying trade theory, facts, requirements and concepts to perform a wide variety of common, specialized, routine and complex work within all disciplines of trade. Ability to apply Expertise in the equipment in their area of responsibility and ability to accomplish and train others in the performance of maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, installation, modification and calibration of digital computer systems, electronic test and measurement equipment, Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machinery and equipment. Ability to apply knowledge of Expert technical knowledge of Industrial Plant Equipment (IPE) electronic systems and principles including complex troubleshooting and repair procedures. Abilit to apply Expert knowledge of electronics principles/practices to answer questions of other workers on procedures, policies, written directions, and other directives. Provides trade technical guidance for correction of workmanship issues or misapplication of trade standards. Ability to apply knowledge on electronic component preventative maintenance practices and procedures. Ability of Knowledge of paperwork and documentation procedures involving trade processes, including trade standard workbooks, corporate and local process instructions, technical work documents, surveillances, administrative procedures, and governing documents.
