Under the general supervision of the maintenance supervisor, provides electrical maintenance/installation/construction services for all hospital facilities in accordance with local and national codes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Plans new installations. Provides necessary sketches and information to supervisor. Makes accurate material list for project or job.
- Wires new jobs. Installs wiring, conduit, fixtures, equipment in timely manner. Follows all local and national safety codes.
- Provides advice, information and assistance on electrical systems. Keeps supervisor informed of electrical needs of hospital. Transports and stocks supplies upon arrival.
- Orders supplies necessary to perform job duties. Keeps accurate inventory of supplies. Transports and stocks supplies upon arrival.
- Performs necessary maintenance tasks. Implements periodic maintenance procedures. Informs supervisor of needed preventive maintenance.
- Cooperates with other crafts on construction/ renovation projects. Coordinates work with other crafts for efficient, safe and timely installation. Provides temporary electrical power and lighting as needed.
- Conforms to establish office procedures. Completes and routes all work order requests. Completes and routes all requisition forms.
- Provides assistance and direction for project helpers. Is responsible for coordinating and assigning specific job duties. Ensures quality, quantity, thoroughness of helper assigned duties.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or directed in order to meet the goals and objectives of the department
- Maintains regular and predictable attendance
Minimum Education and/or Training:
- High school or equivalent required
Minimum Experience:
- 3-5 years experience as a journeyman electrician

This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $28.00 - $47.50 per hour for the role of Electrician.
