Job Description:
This position requires candidates to upload a resume in English; you are welcome to upload multiple versions of your resume if you prefer but an English version of your resume will be required to be considered for this position.
Are you ready to drive innovation and help deliver high‑quality, industry‑leading products? As an Electrical Validation Engineer, you will be a key contributor in delivering state‑of‑the‑art electrical validation with the highest quality standards. In this role, you will work on validating Ethernet interconnections and protocols at cutting‑edge speeds that enable the next generation of Data Centers and 5G Base Stations.
You will join one of the most inclusive and collaborative work environments in the industry, working alongside highly skilled engineers to solve complex system‑level challenges and ensure Intel products meet stringent quality and performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and document electrical validation requirements, test plans, and validation strategies for verification of the Analog Front End (AFE) and end‑to‑end interconnections across silicon designs.
- Perform electrical validation across a wide range of Ethernet protocols, including but not limited to:
- Validate operation across multiple data rates, including:
- 1G, 2.5G, 10G, 25G, and up to 100G PAM4
- Validate conformance to industry standards and Intel specifications, supporting both single‑protocol and multi‑protocol implementations.
- Execute validation for NRZ and PAM4 signaling, ensuring robust performance and interoperability.
- Apply Intel‑developed validation disciplines, including:
- Signal Integrity (SI) Validation
- System Marginality Validation
- Interoperability methodologies and processes
- Investigate and support resolution of complex issues involving hardware, BIOS, firmware, and operating system interactions.
- Collaborate with internal teams and support external customers by translating validation results into actionable solutions.
- Utilize data analysis techniques and statistical models to predict failures and identify trends.
- Perform system‑level link performance analysis to resolve issues and achieve Intel quality and reliability metrics.
Behavioral Traits
- Strong Quality & Results Orientation: Demonstrates a deep commitment to delivering high‑quality electrical validation results that meet or exceed Intel and industry standards.
- Analytical & Structured Problem Solver: Approaches complex electrical and system‑level issues using data‑driven analysis, structured debug methodologies, and statistical modeling.
- Hands‑On Engineering Mindset: Enjoys working directly in lab environments, executing electrical validation, signal integrity measurements, and system marginality testing.
- Systems‑Level Thinking: Understands interactions across silicon, AFE, platform, and software layers, enabling effective resolution of end‑to‑end link performance issues.
- Curiosity & Continuous Learning: Stays engaged with evolving Ethernet standards, signaling technologies (NRZ, PAM4), and next‑generation data center and 5G requirements.
- Collaborative Team Player: Works effectively across hardware, BIOS, firmware, operating system, and software teams to resolve issues and deliver robust solutions.
- Clear & Effective Communicator: Communicates technical findings clearly through documentation, data presentations, and cross‑team discussions, translating complex data into actionable insights.
- Resilient & Persistent: Maintains focus and momentum when debugging difficult or intermittent issues, showing perseverance until root cause and resolution are achieved.
- Customer‑Focused Mindset: Considers both internal and external customer needs, ensuring validation outcomes translate into reliable, interoperable, and high‑performing products.
- Process & Methodology Driven: Follows established validation methodologies while actively identifying opportunities to improve processes, coverage, and efficiency.
