Objective of the position
This position supports Validation and Reliability Engineers and/or the Laboratory Manager across all aspects of laboratory testing and operations. The Technician is responsible for setting up and operating test stands (such as environmental, vibration, and electrical systems), installing test components, and executing established test procedures. The role involves actively conducting tests to validate product conformance, collecting and documenting test data for inclusion in laboratory test reports, and configuring continuous monitoring equipment as required. All testing activities are performed in accordance with internal standards and customer specifications.
Characterization of activities
- Execute timely and complete electrical verification and validation testing in support of product development and Conformity of Production requirements.
- Analyze electronic PCBs, products, and systems for EMC, EMI, and ESD performance, applying statistical methods to evaluate and predict results.
- Develop validation test plans, procedures, fixtures, and setups based on customer specifications, risk assessments, reliability requirements, and field data.
- Define and implement testing methods, tools, standards, and reporting, including data analysis, documentation, and formal test reports.
- Manage environmental testing equipment, test samples, prototypes, and associated documentation (BoM, targets, and customer requirements).
- Collaborate within cross‑functional project teams, support colleagues, and propose product and process improvements to ensure full compliance with requirements.
Education, Experience and Knowledge
- MBO-level (secondary) education in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Mechatronics.
- Professional English communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage diverse stakeholders.
- Strong passion for electronics, including EMC and EMI, with a structured and methodical approach to work.
- Proficient in MS Office tools for documentation, analysis, and reporting.
- Experience in EMC/EMI testing, validation, troubleshooting, or certifications bodies (preferred).
- Background in a global and/or automotive organization, with familiarity in product development and validation processes (preferred).
