Job Description:
In this role you are accountable for
EHSQ
Ensure all maintenance tasks are carried out in accordance with company and statutory, environmental, health and safety standards including compliance with PPE requirements, permits and isolation procedures, the use of Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and pre-job hazard checks for all tasks.
Maintenance Execution
1. Installing, inspecting, and testing all types of electrical equipment. Common tasks include installing cable containment, wiring up electrical equipment, terminals, and switches as per the wiring diagrams and conducting functional tests on installations to check they work correctly.
2. Perform routine maintenance on control and power distribution panels and electrical systems and carry out repairs and reactive maintenance in the event of breakdowns, faults, and malfunctions.
3. Perform diagnostic tests to identify the location of faults and replace any damaged components.
4. Perform isolations, de-isolations at LV and HV (on single-ended drives). 5. Raising, releasing, and completing Work Orders and updating databases as required.
6. Raising requests for materials for the routine execution of work.
7. Inspection and record keeping or updating as part of a preventive maintenance programme.
8. To assist in the upkeep of plant drawings and documentation by reporting errors to supervision.
9. To participate in training in order to enhance skills to enable you to meet the company’s competency requirements.
10. Reviewing and helping in the upkeep of Technical Data and manuals.
11. Be willing to work outside of normal hours on a planned or call-in basis to meet the needs of the business.
Turnarounds and Events
1. Carry out turnaround maintenance tasks safely, on-schedule, and according to the work packs, company standards and good practice.
2. As required, and when selected, execute tasks associated with the shutdown Tech Team.
Essential Requirements
Experience
An integral aspect of the electrician is the ability to locate and identify faults in a timely manner to restore plant and equipment to acceptable conditions.
Skills and Competencies
- Knowledge and understanding of legislative requirements in a COMAH top tier site and a detailed understanding of how CF complies with these through site procedures, rules, and expectations.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical safety risks and a familiarity with the relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Competent Person ‘A’ status under FW66.
- Partially authorised person under the CF HV Rules.
- Have experience using a computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Proficient user of MS office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.) and must have well-developed written and oral communication skills.
