Responsibilities / Tasks
As an Electrical Site Supervisor, you will be part of a dynamic, multicultural engineering team and contribute to the successful execution of international projects, being primarily responsible for the execution, coordination, and supervision of electrical installation activities on customer sites from mobilization through commissioning and final handover. Your main responsibilities will include:
Supervising and coordinating electrical installation and assembly activities on site for international projects (2–8 projects per year), ensuring electrical installation works execution comply with customer specifications, planning, and project documentation and drawings, as well as with company standards, local regulations, and any applicable electrical and safety norm.
Performing extensive international travel, with site presence estimated at around 50–60% of annual working time, depending on project needs.
Coordinating and supervising electrical subcontractors and on-site resources, including daily task planning, work progress control, and manpower management.
Verifying correct installation of electrical panels, cable trays, power and control cabling, field instruments, motors, sensors, and actuators. Supervising cable routing, terminations, labeling, grounding, and compliance with drawings.
Supporting and participating in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) when required.
Performing and supervising electrical checks and pre-commissioning activities, including continuity tests, insulation and any other electrical measurements, device parametrization, loop checks, troubleshooting and IO testing.
Coordinating with Project Managers and Electrical Engineers regarding technical clarifications, deviations, and on-site modifications.
Identifying scope changes, extra works, and potential claims related to electrical installation activities.
Ensuring strict compliance with site safety regulations, Company HSE policies, and local legal requirements.
Continuous monitoring and enforcing safe working practices on site, including toolbox talks, permits to work, and risk assessments.
Reporting daily and weekly progress of electrical installation activities, including deviations, risks, and corrective actions.
Supporting commissioning activities in close collaboration with automation and commissioning teams.
Your Profile / Qualifications
Technical degree or vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electricity, Electrotechnics, or related fields. Engineering degree is a plus.
Proven experience as Electrical Site Supervisor, Electrical Foreman, or Electrical Installation Lead in industrial or EPC projects.
Valid driving license and availability to travel and commute to international project sites.
Strong hands-on knowledge of industrial electrical installations, including power distribution, MCCs, control panels, instrumentation, and field wiring.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, cable lists, layouts, and single-line diagrams.
Good computer literacy, including Internet, Outlook and Microsoft Office.
Experience supervising electrical subcontractors and site crews in an international or multicultural environment.
Solid understanding of industrial safety regulations, including lock-out/tag-out (LOTO), electrical safety, and work permits.
Solid knowledge of electrical and automation regulations, including European directives and IEC standards, as well as American standards (UL). Familiarity with NEC / NFPA and experience applying UL 508A for industrial control panels.
Knowledge of explosive atmospheres (ATEX), including equipment selection, zoning, and compliance with applicable directives and standards.
Experience with functional safety concepts, including SIL (IEC 61508 / IEC 61511) and PL (ISO 13849), applied to industrial automation and electrical systems.
Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and a results-oriented, site-focused mindset.
Good written and oral communication skills to interface with project management, engineering teams, subcontractors, and clients on site.
Spanish (native) and working level of English required; additional languages (French, German, Portuguese) are a plus.
