Position Details
Schedule: Rotational (14 days on / 14 days off)
Location: Remote Arctic camps with self-contained facilities
We’re looking for professionals with a proven record of innovation, teamwork, and technical growth. Strong communication skills and proficiency with computer-based maintenance management systems are essential. This role offers the opportunity to work as a journeyman electrician while developing advanced skills for career progression.
Your responsibilities may include:
Maintain and troubleshoot heavy-duty industrial electrical systems, including: Generators, motors, switchgear, protective relays; Fire/gas detection and suppression systems; UPS systems, variable speed drives, heat tracing systems
Perform general maintenance, repairs, and preventive tasks
Install electrical equipment and cable systems in hazardous/classified areas
Conduct functional checkout and commissioning of new equipment
Use electrical test and calibration tools effectively
Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE (e.g., FR clothing, hard hat, safety glasses, boots, hearing protection)
Actively participate in company safety programs
Collaborate with diverse teams in a dynamic work environment

Basic/Required:
Legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis
Current/Valid driver’s license
State of Alaska Electrical Journeyman License
5 or more years of journeyman electrician experience in an industrial setting
Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to work a 14/14 rotational schedule in a remote arctic environment, both indoors and outdoors in harsh weather
Willing and able (with or without reasonable accommodation) to safely perform physical labor (climbing ladders/stairs, walking, standing, stooping, sitting, and carrying material) during 12-hour shifts
Preferred:
NICET Level 2 Fire Alarm Systems certification and/or Alaska State Fire Alarm Permit Level 1B
Associate degree or technical training in electrical field
5 or more years of oil and gas industry experience
1 or more years’ experience with large industrial electrical systems (generators, motors, switchgear up to 35KV, protective relays, fire/gas systems, suppression systems)
Beginner level knowledge of SAP or similar maintenance management systems
Beginner level proficiency in MS Excel and Word
Demonstrated commitment to safety and Zero Incident Culture
Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments by holding others accountable and standing up for what's right
Listens actively and invites new ideas for shared understanding, then influences and acts to drive positive performance and achieve results
Builds effective solutions based on available information and makes timely decisions that are safe and ethical
