The Engineer III position is the advanced level of the Engineering classification hierarchy. Employees in the Engineer III position solve complex problems in engineering areas of specialization with limited supervision. An Engineer III is expected to develop advanced skills, and the ability to work with greater independence. An Engineer III effectively applies fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is progressively complex and varied.
The Senior Engineer manages work in engineering areas of specialization, with minimal supervision. The Senior Engineer is expected to develop advanced skills and to have the ability to work independently, with guidance limited to unusual or complex projects or issues. Employees in the Senior Engineer position are fully competent in the use of concepts and procedures. The Senior Engineer identifies problems, develops solutions, and takes action to resolve.
The Electrical Engineer will work at the site, within the stations technical team and provide direct support to plant operations and maintenance, primarily in the form of troubleshooting, problem solving, and technical recommendations for assigned plant systems and equipment. In addition, the successful candidate will participate in capital improvement and maintenance projects as required.

Basic Requirements
Note: This posting is for one open position. Dependent on relevant experience, the level to which a candidate is aligned is outlined below.
Engineer III
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program. A master's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B. S. engineering degree.
Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
Senior Engineer
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program. A master's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the B. S. engineering degree.
Minimum of 6 years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated understanding of electrical distribution systems, coordination of electrical protective systems, protective relay operations, and automatic voltage regulators.
Demonstrated ability to effectively troubleshoot electrical and relay system issues.
Good understanding of NERC regulatory compliance requirements for battery and protection systems.
Experience in the utility industry.
Proficient in engineering theories and principles.
Proficient in practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting recommendations.
Demonstrates skills applying leadership in the areas of technical project management, program oversight and/or governance.
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have obtained Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
• Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience for Engineer III and Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience for Sr Engineer
• A Master's degree in Engineering will be considered in lieu of the B.S. Engineering degree.
Onsite Mobility Classification – Work will be performed at a company facility.
