Job Description:

What will you work on?
A highly skilled Electrical Engineer responsible for Electronics design and development of global consumer toy products, from idea to production, acting as a Subject Matter Expert within Electrical Engineering team.


How will you create impact?

  • Design and develop electronics hardware schematics and PCB layouts using Altium (or similar ECAD tools).
  • Build and test early prototypes and production-intent samples, including developing supporting test code and fixtures.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Design, and Brand teams to deliver high-quality solutions in a service-oriented, responsive manner.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure system-level designs are cohesive, meet performance requirements, and are delivered on time and within cost targets.
  • Manage engineering tasks and small projects with a customer-focused mindset, providing clear documentation, risk assessment, and feedback grounded in solid engineering principles.
  • Communicate project status effectively across teams and escalate critical issues when needed.
  • Research new technologies and propose cost-effective applications for both emerging and existing technologies.
  • Partner with Manufacturing and Quality Assurance teams to support reliability, validation, and safety activities.
  • Collaborate with external vendors to ensure hardware and software meet performance expectations.


What are your skills and experience?

  • Proficiency with Altium or similar schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
  • A Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Experience working with microcontrollers and/or microprocessors.
  • Strong embedded system design skills; familiarity with firmware or software development is a plus.
  • Structured, methodical troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally on occasion to support product development needs.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.

The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in Ontario is $40 to $45 Per Hour. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc. Spin Master Inc. is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work only in other states.
