Position Summary:
Alarm.com (ADC) seeks a capable and independent Electrical Engineer to support the design, validation, and production of embedded hardware systems used in connected devices such as smart cameras, sensors, and control modules. In this role, you will contribute to schematic design, system-level integration, and debugging efforts across multiple stages of product development. You will work cross-functionally with firmware, layout, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure a high-quality, certifiable, and manufacturable product. Success in this role requires strong analytical skills, hands-on troubleshooting ability, and a solid understanding of electronic design principles, regulatory requirements, and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and validation of circuits involving digital logic, analog interfaces, power supplies, and RF modules to ensure stability and regulatory compliance.
- Lead hardware debugging eorts for issues such as signal integrity, power rail behavior, or communication interface failures, with support from senior engineering staff.
- Participate in the preparation and execution of test plans for validation and verification across all product development stages.
- Evaluate and select components for new designs by reviewing datasheets and application notes.
- Document test results, validation findings, and design changes clearly and accurately.
- Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to support prototype builds and drive efficient issue resolution.
- Prepare and manage essential hardware documentation for product releases, including BOMs, schematics, and comprehensive validation reports.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in embedded hardware development.
- Proficient with schematic and layout tools such as OrCAD, Allegro, or Altium Designer.
- Hands-on experience with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, or logic analyzers for circuit bring-up or debugging.
- Strong familiarity with common electronic components (resistors, capacitors, regulators, MCUs, etc.) and basic application of datasheets.
- Solid understanding of communication protocols such as UART, I2C, SPI, or SDIO
- Ability to read and understand schematics, follow test plans, and document test results clearly.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive, ownership-oriented mindset toward technical problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills in Chinese and working-level proficiency in English (both written and verbal), with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders across global teams
