This position is for a motivated Electrical Hardware engineering candidate to be involved in the design, implementation, verification, and integration of a wide variety of high-performance analog/digital equipment, power supplies, and information assurance products across Mission Systems on the Product Enabling Technologies team. This role is onsite, in Richardson, TX. This role may be eligible for relocation.

What You Will Do:

  • You will perform engineering work and applied research, development, and Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design for new products to ensure quality standards and functional objectives are met.
  • You will participate in technical preparations for new product development and implementation to ensure new products meet the required specifications and you will troubleshoot electrical devices problems to ensure that issues are resolved efficiently.
  • You will create engineering and production test procedures and complete drawing designs as required to facilitate the engineering process.
  • You will resolve day-to-day technical problems supporting our production lines to minimize disruption.
  • You will research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks and produce products according to specifications, using the most cost effective and efficient means.
  • You will design electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.

What You Will Learn:

  • You will learn the process of component selection for military aircraft and be a large part of selecting those parts for future customers (PM&P).
  • You will learn Cable and Harness Design (A-Kit).
  • You will learn the Basics of Cost accounts.
  • You will learn SDRL development and Submittal.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience in component selection for use in manufacturing aircraft hardware, and SDRL processing.
  • Experience in designing digital and analog products including microprocessor systems, low-power supplies, communication subsystems and experience in designing to meet signal integrity requirements for high-speed digital signals.
  • Experience in creating engineering and production test procedures and experience in designing engineering test fixtures and experience in requirements generation, validation, allocation, and traceability.
  • Proven experience working with manufacturing teams, vendors, and other suppliers to build cost-effective solutions
  • Familiarity with drafting tools including AutoCAD, ECAD, is helpful as well as experience designing for Military Aircraft applications is helpful.

The salary range for this role is 55,000 USD - 107,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
