About the Position
The Election Day Services Technician tracks and logs the usage history of voting equipment used for Countywide, Jurisdictional, and Special Elections.

We Require
- Three years of related warehouse or inventory control experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Other combinations of suitable experience may substitute at the department’s discretion
Other Requirements
- Forklift certification; Commercial Driver’s License
- Must successfully complete the next scheduled Secretary of State Election Officer Certification
- Must be eligible to vote in Arizona
- Must be able to pass applicable background check
Job Contributions
- Checks the viability of equipment for repair and maintenance
- Trains up to fifty temporary staff during Primary/General Elections
- Supervises temporary staff in the performance of a variety of material handling tasks, election preparation tasks, routing and scheduling of deliveries, and the use of manual and powered equipment, ensuring the appropriate safety procedures and practices are used with equipment
- Routes, schedules, and dispatches drivers during the election cycle
- Receives, checks, stores, and issues a heavy volume of various election supplies; determines items to be stocked and levels to be maintained
- Analyzes inventory and makes a determination of items to be added or removed from stock, and conducts periodic physical inventories
- Coordinates delivery/pick up schedules of materials to and from county agencies
- Prepares, delivers, and picks up Polling Place and Early Voting Supplies, ballots, and equipment
- Catalogs, stores, and retrieves archived/statutory records
- Dispose of sensitive election materials within statutory guidelines
- Delivers equipment/mail to other county facilities, safety management, and cleaning of the warehouse
- Receipt, inventory, distribution, and security of official ballots
- Maintains the repair and maintenance of department vehicles
- Other job duties as assigned
Working Conditions
- This position requires the employee to be in the office/field or customer-facing for all hours worked
- Requires daily repetitive manual lifting and moving of election equipment
- While performing the duties and responsibilities, the employee may be exposed to loud noise, noxious odors, unsanitary conditions, chemicals, electricity, moving mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, and other related conditions and situations
- Exerting 50-100 lbs. occasionally, 10-25 lbs. frequently, or up to 10-20 lbs. constantly
