FTE: 1.0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:15am - 6:00pm, Will eventually move to 7:30am - 4:30pm, Must have open availability & flexible schedule.

Position Summary

Assists lead teacher in implementing activities that meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children. Performs cleaning and sanitizing duties as needed.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.

  • State Early Childhood Education (ECE) Initial Certificate required within 5 years of hire.

  • Previous experience working with children required.

  • Valid photo identification card required.

  • CPR/First Aid certification required.

  • Washington State (DOH) Food Handler’s card required.

  • Completion of 30-Hour STARS Basic courses within 6 months of hire, or educational exemption, required.

  • Negative TB Test within 12 months at time of hire required.

  • Annual BBP/HIV training required.

  • Able to successfully submit and pass a Washington State Department of Children, Youth, and Families (DCYF) Childcare Licensing background check required within 14 days of hire.

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $19.32 - $27.80 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
