Job Description

assist in diagnosing patient's medical conditions of the brain, such as diseases, epilepsy and tumors. They are responsible for operating an EEG machine that records brain waves. They obtain the patient's head measurements, prepare the patient's head for the attachment of electrodes, record the patient's brain activity, observe the findings and generate written reports.

The EKG Technician reports to the Nurse Manager. Under direct supervision, the EKG Technician performs complex analysis of Holter tapes, EKG and stress tests on inpatient and outpatients.  The EKG Technician can problem solve and identify issues and take appropriate corrective measures. This position may be required to maintain EKG equipment, mail out Holter Monitors, and record all documentation for billing, statistical analysis, and database.”

Additional Job Description

Education: Associate degree, bachelors degree or an active student in good standing in a CAAHEP accredited EEG program. Must be Registered EEG Technician by ABRET Work Experience: 1 year Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
