About the role

E&I Engineering Technical Lead

As the Electrification & Innovation Engineering Technical Lead, you’ll shape how innovative energy solutions are designed, delivered and scaled across Australia.  You’ll work at the intersection of product, engineering and field delivery, ensuring technical strategies are practical, compliant and deliver great customer outcomes across EV charging, solar, battery storage, community energy and integrated energy solutions. This role is ideal for a technically strong leader who enjoys translating strategy into real‑world delivery.

What you will be doing:

  • Provide senior technical leadership across residential product portfolios, influencing product and delivery strategy through feasibility assessments, field insights and best‑practice engineering standards.

  • Partner with Product Owners and business leaders to develop and refine solution roadmaps, translating product requirements into scalable delivery models, designs and technical documentation.

  • Act as the primary technical interface between product, delivery and field teams, supporting issue resolution across recalls, defects, complex installations, and escalated service or warranty matters.

  • Guide hardware selection, installation standards, delivery workflows and partner enablement to ensure solutions are safe, compliant, scalable and customer‑centric.

  • Engage internal and external stakeholders — including manufacturers, vendors, contractors and third‑party installers — ensuring alignment to technical standards, onboarding requirements and delivery expectations.

  • Drive compliance and continuous improvement by monitoring field performance, tracking regulatory and technology changes, and embedding safety‑in‑design and Australian Standards into all solutions.

  • Contribute to continuous product improvement by feeding operational learnings and performance insights back into the product and innovation pipeline.

What we would like to see you bring:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering residential and/or commercial solar and battery installations, with exposure to end‑to‑end system delivery.

  • Working knowledge of EV charging infrastructure and eMobility solutions.

  • Strong understanding of Australian Standards and DNSP requirements, with a focus on safe, compliant and repeatable designs.

  • Proven ability to collaborate across product, engineering, delivery and operations teams to turn requirements into practical outcomes.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience working through vendors and delivery partners.

  • Confidence using workflow management platforms and CRM systems in an operational environment.

  • Engineering degree or diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (preferred).

What’s in It for You?

A chance to work at the forefront of Australia’s energy transition, applying your technical expertise across solar, batteries and eMobility solutions. You’ll influence how new products are designed and delivered, collaborate closely with product and delivery teams, and gain exposure to emerging technologies in a role that offers real impact, variety and purpose.
