Job Description:

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

  • You will be hired for the EHS Manager Position for Ranjangaon Manufacturing Plant to lead the Site EHS Function, you will be deploying 3M global EHS program across all of its premises to ensure full EHS compliance and continual improvement in all area.
  • You will be hired for the position of EHS Manager Lead of Ranjangaon to develop and perform assimilation of EHS procedures, methods and tools to effectively deploy the EHS management system of 3M.
  • Focus on EHS compliance as an overriding expectation. Conduct risk reviews, compliance audits and internal assessment of facility.
  • Must be capable of Leading a team of 5 EHS Professionals.
  • Evaluate the risk of those hazards, and assist in the development of effective solutions to mitigate risk.
  • Candidates must have ability to Motivate and Empowerment of Others in the facility

  • Leading the EHS Framework deployment for the Facility, lead EHS and collaborate with Cross functional team. -Monitor EHS regulatory Compalicne of State and Central  Laws, Analyze potential impacts,  provide practical recommendations and risk analyses
    • Work in partnership with EHS corporate and site management to develop and implement EHS strategies, policies, and services to increase employee safety & reduce organization risks
    • Collection, analysis and reporting of EHS metrics
    • Subject matter expert on life safety elements for region
  • Implement
    • Evaluation of EHS implications of new product introductions including formal authorization for use
    • Management oversight for the site Management of Change (MOC) Process
    • Management oversight and conduct audits for Pre Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR)
    • Site PHA schedule and recommend implementation plan
    • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations for incidents and near misses in the Site
    • Participate on teams responsible for implementing new products and processes
    • Life Safety Principles for region
  • Determine regulatory applicability of the site and enforce the same, manage compliance both internal to 3M and external.
  • Support EHS Country Head and Ranjangaon Site Head in complying to regulatory norms, 3M mandated assessments completions on time, Implement new EHS campaigns and programs at site.
  • Provide oversight for the site on the EHS Framework of elements
  • Willingness to  be part of the Cross functional team of operations, EHS, Process and strive for the improvement of the process safety adherence at all levels. Must provide mentoring and training for site personnel
  • Participate responsibly in implementing new products and processes
  • Training on Process safety for the Plant Leadership Team's
  • Problem solving skills with a troubleshooting mindset is key for success in this role.
  • Should have handson experience in participating in IMS 45001 audits

Your Skills and Expertise 

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

EHS Manager with a minimum of 16+ years of industry experience, preferably in MNC. Should have 10 years of Supervisory Experience Should be proficient in English, Marathi and Hindi Language Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or mechanical or electrical engineering Certification in Industrial Safety or Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS) approved in Maharastra Overall understanding and working with regulators such as MPCB, DISH office, peso office, Local administrations Should have worked as EHS leader in a Multinational Company preferably an US / European MNC.

Additional qualifications and experience which are crucial, to help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Proficient in Incident Investigations, Root cause analysis, Hazard identification and Risk assessments
  • Problem solving skills with a troubleshooting mindset
  • Work experience in MNC with hands on experiment in leading Machine guarding, LOTO, Electrical safety which is required for a Factory and Process Safety hands on monitoring
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate up, down and across the organization
  • Clarity and Focus on driving the EHS elements and corporate requirements
  • Effective interpersonal skills to work with Cross Functional team and Integration
  • Candidate must be able to handle tough conditions & have experience of managing team.
