Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a EH&S Safety Coordinator Level 3 or Level 4 to join our team in Chandler, AZ.     

This position is fully on-site; remote work is not available.

The EH&S Safety Coordinator is essential for assuring safety training and compliance is current and for keeping Sr. EH&S management updated on pertinent day-to-day safety operations in Chandler and field locations as needed.  

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

Your Role and Impact:

  • Provide EH&S support to Launch Systems Programs

  • Scheduling and conducting EH&S-related training

  • Assisting with accident/incident investigations

  • Conducting frequent safety walks and inspections

  • Assisting with building MERT (Medical Emergency Response Team) as needed

  • Conducting monthly AED inspections

  • Assisting with ergonomic assessments when requested and providing safety related guidance.

  • Uploading weekly activity report for EH&S operations

  • Reviewing safety plans

  • Other duties as assigned

  

This position can be filled at either a Level 3 or Level 4.

Basic Qualifications for Level 3:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience in Safety/EH&S.   

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance which typically requires U.S. Citizenship.

  • Ability to travel domestically to support launch campaigns, provide support at other sites, etc. as needed.

Basic Qualifications for Level 4:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience in Safety/EH&S.   

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance which typically requires U.S. Citizenship.

  • Ability to travel domestically to support launch campaigns, provide support at other sites, etc. as needed.

 Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance of Secret or above.

  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, Risk Management, or similar.  

  • Experience with ordnance handling/operations.

  • Familiarity with pressure operations, crane operations, and forklift operations.

  • Knowledge of fall protection, confined space operations, and working around/on scaffolding.

  • Certification(s) - OSHA, HAZMAT, NFPA, ANSI, RCRA, Certified Safety Professional

Northrop Grumman Total Rewards 

Primary Level Salary Range: $48,400.00 - $80,600.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $57,500.00 - $95,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
