Position: EHS Operation Specialist
What will you do?
- Develop, plan, supervise, and promote occupational safety and health (OSH) management policies and initiatives; provide guidance to relevant departments for effective implementation.
- Conduct performance evaluations of the OSH management system and risk control measures; implement preventive audit mechanisms to ensure workplace safety and protect employees’ physical and mental well-being, thereby preventing occupational accidents.
- Identify and address the needs and expectations of workers and other stakeholders; manage and promote compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and oversee both internal and external audit processes.
- Execute OSH-related plans, including workplace patrols, regular inspections, contractor management, employee training, construction site supervision, and occupational environment monitoring.
- Prepare and revise standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions; compile and submit required reports; handle occupational accident reporting and investigation.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and continuously improve EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) programs aligned with Taiwan’s regulatory requirements and Coupang’s operational standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for logistics centers, delivery operations, and office environments; propose corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and deliver employee safety training programs to enhance awareness and reduce incidents.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including SOPs, safety manuals, and regulatory reports.
- Investigate workplace incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, HR, Facilities, Logistics) to embed safety culture and ensure seamless compliance.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in EHS operations, preferably in logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing environments.
- Strong knowledge of Taiwan’s OSH laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
- Proven ability to conduct risk assessments, audits, and incident investigations.
- Excellent communication skills in Mandarin and basic proficiency in English for reporting and cross-functional collaboration.
- High sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and ability to work independently under pressure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent EHS certification.
- Experience in large-scale logistics or e-commerce operations.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems.
- Familiarity with emergency response planning and crisis management.
- Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights for continuous improvement.
- Strong stakeholder management and training facilitation skills.
- Passion for building a proactive safety culture and driving operational excellence.
