This role is responsible for implementing and continuously improving EHS systems and programs at Japan-Yonezawa plant to achieve full compliance with all applicable regulations and Entegris Corporate EHS requirements.
This individual will function as part of site management team to work collaboratively with all department manager to identify, prevent and resolve potential EHS issues.
This position is located at Yonezawa.

In this role you will:

Maintain compliance with national and local environmental, health and safety regulations.
Lead the implementation and validation of Entegris Corporate EHS requirements
Provide EHS guidance and compliance support to site management team to ensure compliance with regulatory & Entegris Corporate EHS requirements.
Proactively drive continuous improvement in EHS performance and programs.
Drive improvements in organizational EHS culture, awareness, and accountability.
Conduct incident / accident investigations and develop corrective and preventative action plans.
Organize site employee EHS training, lead EHS audits, and maintain EHS records.
This role report directly to Asia EHS Director and had 2 direct reports under.

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
What are the Position Specific Competencies? Define the skills/competencies necessary to do the job. These should tie directly back to the purpose and outcome.
Appropriate country EHS qualification/certifications for high pressure gas, PDSCL, etc
Bachelor/Master Degree in Safety, Environmental, Electrical, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering, or related technical discipline
7+ years' experience on managing EHS compliance and/or programs in multinational companies
Compliance experience with EHS regulations, ISO14001 & 45001, RBA, customer audit, etc
Proven project and program management skills
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships
Knowledge of PHA (FMEA, Hazop, what-if), RCA, JSA, LOTO, area classification, etc
Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office;
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
