In the role of EHS Associate, you are a safety goal‑oriented professional who provides hands‑on support to plant operations and the Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) department. You are a collaborative, proactive individual who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment and supports continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental compliance.

What you'll be doing

  • Regularly visit the manufacturing floor for EHS-related needs including assessments, and investigations
  • Support plant operations in terms of EHS assessments, follow up on open EHS concerns or investigations
  • Assist with incident response, accident and near miss investigations, and related documentation
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify workplace hazards, as required
  • Coordinate and track EHS improvements and corrective actions
  • In conjunction with the EHS Manager, lead the Joint Health & Safety Committee (JHSC) activities including monthly meetings
  • Coordinate and deliver, as required, plant safety training programs
  • Perform EHS data entry and reporting in Global systems

What you'll bring

  • Post-secondary education or certificate or equivalent experience in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Studies, or a related field
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is preferred
  • Working knowledge of occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and data entry skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Hands-on, proactive, and problem-solving approach
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks
  • JHSC certificate

We understand that compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. 
The estimated salary range for this position is $80,560 - $120,840 annually, which reflects base salary as well as estimated target payout under the Management Incentive Compensation Plan. Individual pay will be determined based upon skills, expertise and experience, and the incentive, which is contingent upon company and individual performance outcomes.
