EHR Integration Analyst (P2P)

Summary  

As an EHR Integration Analyst you will be a member of the cross-functional GeneDx EHR Integration team, helping to onboard new customers onto our Point-to-Point integration and supporting existing customers. You will manage client build, integration testing, and technical troubleshooting for new and existing integrations. Additionally, you will be responsible for relaying customer feedback to downstream Product and Development teams, helping to translate customer needs into technical deliverables. 

 

Job Responsibilities 

  • Act as a liaison between client analysts, management, and downstream technical teams to ensure clear communication, visibility, and accountability for project milestones. 
  • Lead meetings with customers to track and manage new implementations or provide additional support for existing integrations. 
  • Work to standardize build across client systems to provide for better long term support.  
  • Perform basic investigation and validation of interface-related issues, including review of HL7 message logs, error queues, and order/result message delivery. 
  • Document recurring issues, patterns, and trends to support process improvement and product stability. 
  • Help manage ticket queues to ensure smooth transitions between go-live and ongoing support. 
  • Act as point-to-point integrations expert for initial investigation and triage of related support tickets 
  • Contribute to internal knowledge base documentation, support workflows, and training related to integration processes.
     

Education, Experience, and Skills  

  • Preferred bachelor’s degree in business, information technology, marketing, sciences, or related field/or equivalent experience. 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in EHR integrations and/or healthcare IT. Experience with Cerner or Allscripts is preferred. 
  • Preferred experience working with specialty lab integrations 
  • Foundational understanding of EHR technology, data integrations, and healthcare data standards like HL7 and FHIR. 
  • 2+ years experience working with HL7v2 standards 
  • Strong customer service focus with excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Proven ability to triage and troubleshoot issues across complex systems and escalate appropriately. 
  • Experience with Salesforce preferred for ticket management and client communication; Jira or ServiceNow experience a plus. 
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams. 

Work Environment  

  • This is a fully remote position. The employee will work from a home office or other suitable remote location with reliable high-speed internet access. Work is performed in a climate-controlled environment using standard office equipment including computer, phone, and video conferencing tools. Your standard work schedule and hours will be established in collaboration with your leader and may be adjusted to align with evolving business needs. 

Physical Demands 

This is a sedentary role requiring prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer. Physical demands include: 

  • Sitting for extended periods (up to 8 hours per day) 
  • Repetitive use of hands and fingers for typing and mouse operation 
  • Visual acuity for reading computer screens and documents 
  • Ability to communicate effectively via phone and video calls 
  • Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds (office supplies, equipment)
