Reporting to EEM Operations Director, Process Team Leader plays a crucial role in orchestrating and optimizing operations and supply chain activities, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration between Process Teams, Elanco Affiliates, and external partners. This role manages operations, a proactive approach to inventory management, risk mitigation, and project execution, with a strong focus on driving operational efficiency and achieving key performance indicators. The PT leader is responsible for preparing, leading and facilitating Internal Process Team and Joint Process Team meetings, driving alignment on key decisions (internally and with CMs), and ensuring follow-through on action items. This role requires a deep understanding of operations, supply chain processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to influence and coordinate cross-functional teams.

 Operations, performance and Supply Chain Management:

  • Responsible for tracking and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operations performance (not limited to supply chain) and identify areas for improvement.

  • Identify risks and opportunities, mitigate issues, and report losses (API, bulk, finished, packaging material).

  • Review the volumes, absorption, and provide insights to support informed decision-making.

  • Understand and align with CMs on capacity and any supply constraint to be considered in planning.

  • Oversee procurement, production, logistics, and distribution processes.

  • Contribute to operations optimization through efficient processes and practices

  • Identify and/or support cost-reduction and/or avoidance opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate information within the 'My EEM' system.

  • Generate Purchase Orders in Ariba system for payment to third party.

CM Governance:

  • Lead and facilitate IPTs and JPTs meetings, prepare agendas, present key metrics and analyses, and guide discussions towards productive outcomes. Ensure effective follow-up on action items and decisions and support internal alignment and link to JST.

  • Define an account plan and track updates.

  • Analyse metrics for JPT and IPT meetings.

  • Lead and facilitate ad hoc meetings, assess production planning, overseeing material/process changes, capacity review, BCP actions, and other issues that may impact product supply in the market. Ensure effective follow-up on action items and decisions.

Change & Deviation Management:

  • Manage change control processes, evaluate the impact in operations of proposed changes and ensure appropriate actions and communication are taken

  • Investigate (if applicable) and address deviations, implementing corrective actions and preventative measures.

Communication & Alignment:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with ICOS, supply affiliates, network planners, LCM, ensuring clear and consistent communication regarding supply plans and strategies.

  • Escalate and resolve stock-out situations effectively, keeping stakeholders informed of updates and mitigation plans.

  • Provide support during CM’s agreement negotiations, facilitating open communication channels.

  • Secure and manage data-sharing documents and performance metrics with external teams.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with CMs, coordinate discussions and negotiation on supply chain issues, and ensure effective cross-functional collaboration.

  • Attend meetings to review priorities based on demand and align with the LCM team if required.

  • Conduct periodic risk assessments for CMs and update 'My EEM' system accordingly.

  • Acknowledge and communicate label readiness to CMs.

Inventory Management:

  • Support during regular inventory evaluations (at Elanco warehouse(s) under EEM responsibility and at CM warehouses) . Analyzing finished product and material levels to identify potential risks and opportunities.

  • Analyze slow-moving reports, proposing actions to minimize inventory obsolescence.

  • Monitor losses and ensure actions are in place to mitigate materials and finished products write offs.

Tech Agenda/ Projects/ Life Cycle Management

  • Coordinate projects (e.g. launches) and material changes (e.g. label), ensuring alignment across production, master data, warehousing, LCM and affiliates.

  • Manage bridging stock activities for tech transfers, ensuring uninterrupted supply during transitions.

  • Plan and schedule relabeling and rework activities as required.

  • Participate and/or lead process validation/periodic validation, launches, geo-expansions, rationalization discussions and provide operations inputs.

PCAP Process:

  • Secure PCAP approvals for label and regulatory changes, launches, geo-expansions, and rationalizations.

  • Contribute to rationalization efforts as defined by 'Blue tasks.' (open the rationalization change control, evaluate bridging stock)

  • Manage workflows within the 'Blue System' and ensure timely approval.

  • Communicate new label due dates and grace periods to CMs using the PPCF form.

  • Manage print-at-risk / print and pack at risk activities within the PPM framework.

Basic Qualifications: Must Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or equivalent experience in lieu of the degree 4+ years’ experience in Manufacturing Operations

  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with areas inside and outside of Elanco

  • SAP competency (S4 Hana)

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Fluent / Advanced English skills (spoken/written)

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

  • Demonstrated project management

  • Ability to work cross functionally and facilitate meeting

  • Exhibit proficiency in Elanco-specific tools (Veeva, IBP, CORRS, among others).

  • Understand basic GMP regulations and principles applicable to daily responsibilities.

  • Knowledge of IBP, Ariba.

  • Oral and written communication/ interpersonal interaction skills.

  • Knowledge of supply chain tools and business processes.

  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and challenge.

  • Experience interfacing with various manufacturing functional groups, such as production, logistics, quality control, quality assurance, and technical services.

  • Logistics experience.

  • Knowledge of Power BI and other report/dashboard creation tools to support the operations.

Additional Information

  • Overnight travel may be required (10 - 15%)

  • Location: Hybrid (60% office / 40% remote)
