Senior Advisors collaborate with Huron and client senior leaders to design and implement impactful, goal-achieving solutions—drawing upon their deep functional expertise and industry experience. Serving in a part-time capacity, Senior Advisors provide strategic counsel across client engagements or broader business development efforts, helping institutions navigate complex challenges and identify opportunities for growth.
We are recruiting for a Senior Advisor, Financial and HR Services to partner with Huron and client leadership to provide strategic guidance on financial operations, payroll, and human resource effectiveness. Drawing on extensive experience leading enterprise systems and organizational transformation in higher education and healthcare settings, the advisor helps design and implement efficient, compliant, and people-centered solutions. In a part-time capacity, they will leverage expertise to advance client objectives, strengthen operational performance, and support ongoing business development initiatives.
Requirements:
- US Work Authorization required
- Ability to engage in a part-time advisory capacity (~20 hours a week), contributing to both client-facing projects and business development efforts.
- 10+ years of progressive leadership in higher education or healthcare finance, payroll, and HR operations.
- Deep expertise in payroll administration, benefits accounting, and compliance, ideally within complex, multi-entity organizations.
- Understanding of HR and financial systems (e.g., SAP, Concur, or equivalent enterprise platforms).
- Proven success in leading enterprise-scale process redesigns, system implementations, and change management initiatives.
- Experience advising or collaborating with senior institutional leaders to align financial and operational strategies with organizational goals.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with experience presenting to executive leadership or governing boards.
- Ability to navigate complex regulatory and institutional environments with diplomacy and precision.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in international payroll, tax, and policy considerations for global assignments.
- Strong orientation toward service excellence and continuous improvement.
