POSITION SPECIFICS

Penn State Outreach is seeking an Education Program Coordinator for the Penn State Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) location at University Park. This position supports OLLI’s mission to deliver high‑quality lifelong learning experiences by identifying, developing, managing, delivering, and evaluating educational programs and related materials. The position consults with and assesses the needs of OLLI members and stakeholders to ensure curriculum relevance and quality.

The Education Program Coordinator provides support and assistance in the identification, development, and delivery of educational programs or initiatives; implements and evaluates program logistics related to materials, registration, record-keeping, staffing, marketing, data collection and analysis, long-range planning, and budget management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the administration of an educational program to ensure program quality and effectiveness

  • Process course/program registrations; identify and recommend efficient workflows

  • Coordinate budget preparation, monitor budgets, analyze data, and initiate payments

  • Coordinate the recruitment and hiring of instructors/presenters

  • Participate in the development of marketing strategies to promote programs; oversee the creation and distribution of marketing materials, advertising, etc.

  • Design layout and format of project-related documents, web content, and materials

  • Make recommendations on changes/additions to both policies and portfolio of offerings based on customer feedback, evaluations, historical data, and systems capabilities

  • Recommend innovative plans for design or quality improvement of unit programs/procedures

  • Assist in developing operational goals, objectives, and standards for unit, programs, projects, etc.

  • Represent unit at internal and external meetings with stakeholders

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE & REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS

General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or High School (HS) 2+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience accepted Required Certifications: None

 

This position is primarily in-person and out of the University Park campus, with the ability to work remotely on occasion. Questions can be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

SALARY & BENEFITS

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades, is $38,300.00 - $55,500.00.
