Business Title: eDiscovery Manager (Attorney or Non-Attorney)

RSM is seeking an eDiscovery Manager to help manage the firm’s eDiscovery strategy, operations, and technology across all legal matters. This role will partner closely with in-house legal teams, business stakeholders, and external counsel to ensure best in class eDiscovery practices, compliance with records and retention obligations, and effective use of technology across the firm.

This position is open to candidates with or without a Juris Doctor, with final title, and compensation aligned to qualifications and licensure.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end eDiscovery process for legal matters, including preservation, collection, review, and production of electronically stored information (ESI)
  • Advise in‑house legal teams and business stakeholders on eDiscovery best practices, legal requirements, and technology considerations
  • Partner with internal and external counsel on scoping discovery (custodians, search terms, date ranges, workflows)
  • Oversee eDiscovery platforms, retention limits, and compliance with legal and regulatory obligations
  • Develop, refine, and maintain standard ESI protocols, workflows, and training materials
  • Manage and mentor a team of eDiscovery specialists and in‑house litigation support professionals
  • Evaluate, test, and support implementation of new eDiscovery tools and technologies
  • Provide briefings and guidance to legal leadership and senior stakeholders as requested

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of eDiscovery and records management obligations
  • Proven people management experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with legal, technical, and business audiences
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • High degree of technical aptitude and comfort evaluating new tools and technologies

Qualifications:

Attorney Track

  • Juris Doctor required
  • Actively licensed and in good standing with a U.S. state bar
  • 8+ years of experience practicing law, with significant litigation and eDiscovery experience
  • Strong knowledge of the litigation lifecycle and legal discovery obligations

Non-Attorney Track

  • 8+ years of experience in eDiscovery, legal technology, or litigation support
  • Deep technical and operational knowledge of eDiscovery platforms and processes
  • Demonstrated experience leading eDiscovery programs in complex, regulated environments

Compensation:

Compensation, title, and job profile will be aligned based on qualifications, experience, and licensure, and will fall within the applicable range for the selected track.

Attorney Track: $215,760 – $381,700

Non-Attorney Track: $119,970 - $205,150

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $215,800 - $381,700

Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
