Your Role: Ecommerce Manager – Retail
As the Ecommerce Manager - Retail, your primary goal is driving revenue by managing our OTC and Rx products with Retail ecommerce partners. You will be a crucial link between Elanco and our valued retail partners, fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. This role offers a unique opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the retail landscape, anticipate customer needs, and ensure their satisfaction, ultimately driving revenue growth for Elanco. In addition to relationship management, this position provides exposure to operational processes, allowing you to hone key skills in analytics, financials, and strategic account management. You will gain valuable experience in navigating the complexities of key account management, setting you up for future success within Elanco.
Your role will ensure Elanco shows up brilliantly online, with critical skills in analytics, financial management, and strategic account selling—all driving revenue growth and target achievement.
This role will support: Allivet, PetMeds, Petcare Rx, Healthy Pets, Valley Vet and Revival.
Your Responsibilities:
Customer Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within customer accounts. Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing insights and solutions that address their unique business challenges.
Customer Management: Leveraging your strong relationships, drive profitable growth for Elanco, focusing on our entire portfolio of OTC and Rx items.
Operational Collaboration and Execution: Lead and facilitate meetings with internal stakeholders, Shopper Marketing, Category Management, and the broader ecommerce team to ensure we are driving sales, and executing strategy for our valued ecommerce customers. Communication, coordination and inventory planning with the warehouse and supply team, Customer service, and Retail operations team.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration among internal teams (e.g., Shopper marketing, Brand, Category Management, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and Finance) to ensure coordinated efforts and achieve common internal goals and address customer needs promptly and efficiently.
Account Education, Communication and Cross Channel Coordination: Help to facilitate internal education and communication within the organization, promoting understanding and effective cooperation between business units such as, but not limited to Vet Sales, Retail, and Home delivery.
Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers with Customer and Distributor accounts. Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing insights and solutions that address their unique business challenges.
Financial Management: Provide accurate forecast for the business, process customer invoices and rebates accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely payment and reconciliation. Leverage trade budget to drive positive ROIs and drive net sales. Work with Finance team to ensure checkbook balances and both parties are adhering to Contractual deliverables
What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Required Experience: Minimum two years of experience in business-to-business (B2B) sales or equivalent selling experience within a competitive environment. Experience in the animal health industry is a strong plus, specifically the Vet/Rx business.
Top Skills: Proven problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and a passion for continuous improvement. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).

Elanco currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from $124,000 to $206,000 depending partly on the successful candidate’s qualifications, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending partly on company and individual performance). Additionally, Elanco offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees that includes a company-matching 401(k); vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities). Of course, the compensation is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
