Position Overview (Autodesk‑aligned rewrite)

At Autodesk, we’re building a better world designed and made for all—and that includes how customers discover, experience, and grow with our products. We’re looking for an eCommerce Innovation – Trial Modernization Managerto help evolve our trial experiences into scalable, customer‑first growth engines for our next‑generation offerings.

This is a mid‑level individual contributor role for someone who is optimistic about what’s possible, relentless in improving outcomes, and motivated by turning insight into action. You’ll focus on modernizing trial experiences to improve activation, conversion, and scalability across our self‑serve and product‑led commerce motions—helping more customers realize value, faster.

In this role, you’ll work as One Autodesk, partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Design, Lifecycle Marketing, and Analytics within an established eCommerce and monetization strategy. Together, you’ll help transform legacy trial models into modern, configurable, and experimentation‑ready experiences. You’ll own scoped initiatives that directly impact free‑to‑paid conversion, using data, experimentation, and collaboration to position trials as a durable and trusted growth lever for our future offerings.

Responsibilities

Trial Modernization & eCommerce Innovation

  • Modernize trial experiences for next‑generation offerings by evolving access models, usage limits, feature gating, and upgrade triggers
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to transform legacy trials into scalable, eCommerce‑ready, and experimentation‑friendly experiences
  • Help deliver modern trial frameworks that balance strong customer activation with accelerated monetization
  • Contribute to how trials connect to broader self‑serve journeys, including pricing, packaging, and upgrade paths

Trial Monetization & Funnel Execution

  • Own execution for defined stages of the trial funnel, including activation, engagement, and conversion
  • Measure and monitor key metrics such as activation rate, trial engagement, trial‑to‑paid conversion, and early revenue signals
  • Design, run, and analyze experiments across onboarding, in‑product prompts, paywalls, pricing pages, and upgrade flows
  • Translate successful experiments into durable product and commerce capabilities with Product and Engineering partners
  • Use data and insights to identify friction points, monetization opportunities, and incremental revenue impact
  • Share clear insights, learnings, and recommendations with stakeholders and leaders

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work as One Autodesk with Product, Design, and Engineering to deliver trial and monetization improvements aligned to eCommerce priorities
  • Partner with Analytics and Finance to ensure trusted measurement of trial performance and revenue impact
  • Coordinate with Sales, Customer Success, and Support to align modernized trials with downstream customer journeys
  • Collaborate with Lifecycle Marketing on in‑app and email moments that drive trial engagement and upgrades
  • Support clear definitions for when trials trigger sales or customer success engagement, aligned with PQL and sales‑assist frameworks

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 7+ years of experience in eCommerce, growth, monetization, product operations, or lifecycle roles within SaaS or subscription businesses
  • Hands‑on experience supporting trial, conversion, or free‑to‑paid initiatives in self‑serve or product‑led environments
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using product or marketing analytics tools; comfort leveraging AI‑driven insights

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with experimentation and analytics platforms
  • Working knowledge of A/B testing, cohort analysis, and performance dashboards
  • Familiarity with lifecycle programs and billing or upgrade flows
  • Understanding of product‑led growth, self‑serve eCommerce, and trial‑to‑paid mechanics
  • Experience modernizing trials or monetization flows for new or evolving products
  • Ability to translate user behavior and data into clear hypotheses and test plans
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in cross‑functional environments
